A family eco-pension, chi ghje que* ?
Chez Marie grew with a desire: preserve what is precious, namely people and natural resources. Whilst the owners, Pascal & Sergio, have retained the original spirit of the house, that of an authentic and generous family pension, they have also made it a place committed to preserving the environment and the region.
Ultra-local sourcing, water and energy management, eco-friendly actions…here, everything is done to limit the ecological footprint. And there’s nothing like zinc to bring people together, whether they’re breeders, citrus growers, shepherds or customers, around a real coffee. This global sustainable approach has allowed Chez Marie to join the Ecotourism Network in Eastern Corsica, a recognition that honors and commits us.
*what is it?
Ecotourism
It is a conscious form of tourism, respectful of the territory, nature and people, committed on a daily basis to limiting the impact of its activities and which encourages encounters between tourists and locals.

Casa Malo: a balcony overlooking the plain and the sea
You have to leave the coast, where the town of Linguizzetta extends, to take the small inland roads, through fields and farms, and start a slight climb towards the mountain.
From the top of its 380 meters, the village of Linguizzetta offers a rare spectacle: located at the foot of Mount Sant’Appianu, it is surrounded by a cirque of nature, while it looks towards the East all the plain that embraces the sea some 12 kilometers away.
Casa Malo is worth it. This three-story character house stands proudly at the front of the village, its windows facing this expanse of plain and sea.
On the ground floor, its two studios, although fully equipped, advocate simplicity. The interiors, mountain or sea side, exude village spirit, authenticity and tranquility.
Exploring the region
In the mood for a vineyard tour?
For lunch in a straw hut along the beach?
For dinner in a hidden windmill far up on the hillsides?
For a scuba dive to search for a long-lost bomber or a 1915 shipwreck?
For a hike that will take you up to 1100 meters in just 2 and ½ hours and from where you will find a 360° panoramic view of both sea and mountains?
Or for relaxing on a beach far from all the commotion?
You will find it all here, Chez Marie en Corse.
Linguizzetta.
Your hosts
Chez Marie en Corse is above all a story about a family.
Everything began with Marie Orsini’s idea: she grew up in Linguizzetta and in 1967 opened her family traditional Inn along the National Road 198, nestled between the expanses of the sea of the Costa Serena, the vineyards and the mountains.
The story continues with Pascal Orsini’s decision to take over the family-run boarding house. He invested all his experience and passion in hospitality management to renovate and reinvent it, being able – at the same time – to preserve its original homely spirit
Local products
We are proud to work with producers who are geographically close to us – the vast majority are located less than than 5 km from Chez Marie – but not only that.
More than suppliers, these are women and men that we have chosen (and who have chosen us), who all have in common a love of their profession and their region, who work hard to offer authentic, good (very (very) good) and organic products.
People who make us come – and come back – to our restaurant and our grocery store, and without whom Chez Marie would not be the same.
